The Department of General Agriculture of the Faculty of Agronomy of the Buryat State Agricultural Academy received the DJI Agras T20 agrodron. The drone was purchased with funds allocated under the Priority 2030 project to equip the laboratory of digital agriculture and forestry.

The "Iron Bird" DJI Agras T20 is a revolutionary specialized unmanned aerial vehicle designed specifically for the customizable and controlled spraying of liquid pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, as well as solid fertilizers and seeds.
Load capacity - up to 20 kg. The DJI Agras T20 drone will take only 1 hour to process an area of up to 12 hectares.
— The use of agrodron in the educational process will allow students to master digital competencies and modern technologies in agriculture and forestry. This skill will help them in their future profession, because drones-agronomists will soon be able to become the main assistants in agriculture," explains Arsalan Mankhanov, Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy.
According to experts, in the next 10 years, agricultural drones will be able to partially replace tractors and combines. During this time, the Agronomy Faculty of the Belarusian Agricultural Academy will produce two generations of specialists who can control drones.
