Joint Council of Students

What's it?

A permanent representative collegial body of the student self-government of the Academy, whose activities are aimed at ensuring the realization of the rights of students in the management of educational and educational processes, solving important issues of the life of young students, developing their social activity, supporting and implementing student initiatives.

Principles and objectives of the Student Council

Main objectives

ensuring the implementation of the rights to the participation of students in the management of the Academy, assessment of the quality of the educational process;
development and support of socially significant initiatives of students of the Academy;
preservation and development of student traditions, formation of civic culture, active citizenship of students, promotion of their social maturity, independence, ability to self-organization and self-development.

Basic principles

respect for the interests, dignity and opinion of each student of the Academy, freedom of expression of personal opinion;
teamwork, collegiality of decision-making, mutual and personal responsibility in decision-making, electability of the entire management vertical.

Functions of the Council

To achieve the goals , the Council performs the following functions:

Protection and representation of students' interests

provides assistance in solving issues and analyzing problems affecting the interests of students, finding ways and methods to solve them
assists the management of the Academy in solving issues affecting the interests of students in the organization of the educational process;
promotes the strengthening of discipline in academic buildings and dormitories of the Academy;
promotes the development of interuniversity, interregional and international relations with student, youth and other public associations;
promotes the development and realization of personal and professional qualities of students of the Academy.

Organization of cultural events

participates in the formation of civic culture, active citizenship of students of the Academy;
organizes the participation of students in the scientific and innovative activities of the Academy;
organizes recreation and leisure of students, holding cultural events;
promotes the preservation and development of values and traditions of mutual respect between students and employees of the Academy.

Assistance in developing new courses and approaches in students' education

develops proposals on the main directions of the Academy's educational and extracurricular activities and mechanisms for their implementation, taking into account the problems of students by analyzing their actual needs in educational, scientific, cultural, social, organizational and;household spheres;
represents the opinion of students when the Academy adopts local regulations affecting their rights and legitimate interests;
participates in the development of a system to reward students of the Academy for achievements in various fields of academic and extracurricular activities, including for active participation in the activities of the Council of Students of the Academy, scientific and public life Academies.

Structure of the Student Council

The Student Council is headed by a chairman elected at the reporting and election conference. The Chairman of the Board of Students is elected for a term of up to two years
